RUMBO Photography Training Space, Uruguay
Rumbo is a photography training space that we developed together with Casa Arbus and is now in its fifth generation. The idea of a comprehensive photography course had been on our minds for some time, and when Casa Arbus appeared on the local scene and we met the people behind it, we realized that combining our efforts would make it possible to create something like RUMBO.
With Casa Arbus in charge of the project and Lorena Larriestra and Nicolás Vidal de Sur in charge of pedagogical coordination and content development, RUMBO changed the concept of studying photography in Montevideo.
Goals
Rumbo, a "Photography Training Space," aims to promote and provide comprehensive and excellent knowledge in analog and digital photography, to train creative and independent photographers with the experience to enter both the advertising and social photography markets, as well as to embark on the world of authorial photography.
After completing the first year, which is heavily technical, students will have all the tools they need to enter the job market.
Proposal
The curriculum consists of four thematic modules, each divided into two sub-modules. The total duration of the course is two years; two sub-modules will be taken per semester, with evaluations for each sub-module at the end. Classes meet twice a week, lasting two hours each day.
Duration:
3 months
